Because the principles of different types of machine sprinklers are different, so the choice of ink is also different, if the ink selection is wrong, sprinkler damage will be inevitable, the current ink can be divided into:

1. DYE (indoor) dye type hot foaming ink.

Suitable for HP or NOVAJET indoor models, because the ink contains high foaming agent, after being heated by the resistance of the ink head, the ink will produce bubbles in a very short time, and then squeeze the ink out, but under the change of high and low temperature for a long time, the ink cavity becomes damaged in the severe environmental changes of high heat and high pressure.

Because the development of alternative ink is more successful, so the cost is lower, but the loss of sprinkler is an irreducible cost.

In general, the water content of ink used by thermal foaming inkjet printers needs to be between 70% and 90%, in order to keep the nozzle smooth and cooperate with the role of thermal energy, which means that enough time must be left for the ink to dry on the medium without spreading outward, so it is equipped with a drying device on the machine so as not to damage the picture.

2. DYE (indoor) dye micro-embossed ink.

Suitable for EPSON sprinkler models, including the latest MIMAKI JV-4,MUTOH RJ-8000 and ROLAND FJ-500/600 series, the piezoelectric sprinkler uses a piezoelectric crystal to hit and vibrate a diaphragm fixed in the printhead, thus ejecting the ink out of the printhead.

Because it is a "cold spray", the sprinkler does not need to be replaced regularly, but the early ink price is higher, so the early indoor production cost is higher than hot foaming, the recently launched MUTOH RJ-8000 series and MIMAKI JV4 series use the third generation of EPSON nozzles, so the speed of inkjet is greatly improved, and the micro piezoelectric ink is also reduced to less than 0.25yuan / ml, so indoor production will take micro piezoelectric as the mainstream model.

3. PIGMENT (outdoor) pigment micro-piezoelectric ink.

It is suitable for the use of EPSON sprinkler models, including the latest MIMAKI JV-4,MUTOH RJ-8000 and ROLAND FJ-500/600 series, but it does not become the mainstream ink because of its film coating, complex outdoor process and high cost.

4. Oil-based ink.

Only suitable for MUTOH RJ-8000/RJ6000, ROLAND FJ50/40/500/400 and MIMAKI JV2 series, due to the restriction of micro-piezoelectric sprinkler, outdoor weather resistance is about 6 months, because oily ink production does not need to cover film, and can spray-paint coated light box cloth, so it is widely used in indoor production and outdoor replacement areas (about half a year).

5. Solvent-based ink.

Suitable for large-scale inkjet printer and the latest limit FY-6180, the ink has a strong corrosiveness, can directly infiltrate into the light box cloth and the interior of PVC material, so the higher requirements for sprinklers, the need to use special solvent-based sprinklers, and the sprinkler ancillary equipment requirements are higher, so the solvent ink is not suitable for any sprinkler in Japan EPSON, and currently have the ability to produce the sprinkler only British XRRA and American companies.

Seagel, SALSA, Waite and the latest extreme FY-6180 all use this type of sprinkler.

And equipped with automatic ink filtering system, so they are professional outdoor production equipment, and outdoor weather resistance can be guaranteed for about two years.
